The time has come for our last race of the season,
the Carroll/Scott Memorial Triathlon.
Dave Carroll and Dave Scott were founding members of
The Wallabies and sadly passed away in the early years
of the club. This race is held in their memory. It is an
opportunity for their families and their mates to come
down and either race in their honour or just come down
to have a look to see how the club is going.
This round is traditionally sponsored by Cityfit Bathurst and we
are proud to say they are on board again this year. As always,
many thanks to Club sponsor King Cain Solicitors. We hope
some of you can make it down to race or say hello!
This year the Trophy race will be held over the Short Course.
The Long Course race will still be run.
If you have been thinking of coming down all year but have
been putting it off this is the race to do it. It does't matter
if it's a solo or team effort, we'd love to see you down
at the club to have a go. It's also your last chance this season.
There will be coffee and a barbecue and we'll be doing some
giveaways. We'll also be doing some fundraising for both
The John McLean Foundation as well as supporting Bathurst
cyclists in the Outback 2 Capital Tour. Stephen Dunstall and
Andrew Abel from the Bathurst Cycling Club will be
riding from Bourke to Canberra to raise funds for the
Humpty Dumpty Foundation and the Kids Cancer
Foundation so please dig deep if you can. The club will
also donate profits from the BBQ and Coffee takings.
So even if you're not racing, please come down for a look
and enjoy a coffee.
As usual, the seniors race is scheduled for a 7.50AM briefing
for an 8AM sharp start. Boomers & Joeys will be racing from
